Happy Lovely

What initially started as an Instagram page in 2014 came full circle when it was chosen to be the subject of a conceptual branding class project in 2021. I started @thehappylovelypage in my sophomore year of high school, during a time when #thinspo was trending on Tumblr, hallway bullies were unrelenting, and negativity on social media was at (what seemed like) an all-time high. I created the page as a mode of combatting social media negativity and navigating my new diagnoses of anxiety and depression. The page quickly gained traction, not only among school peers but with girls all around the world who started similar pages in search of positivity themselves. In 2021 when presented with a personal choice branding project that could be for literally anything, I knew it was time for Happy Lovely to get its own brand identity. Years have passed since this branding project, so I’ve made some updates! Scroll to see the latest Happy Lovely branding and social media voice.
